After recurring spring frost significantly reduced yields at the vineyard, Johanniter and Muscaris came through – and F**k The Frost was born. This Polish skin-contact wine from Lower Silesia is made by Nestor, who farms Moderna’s 3.1-hectare vineyard using regenerative viticulture and a less-is-more approach to grape growing and winemaking.
Made from 80% Johanniter and 20% Muscaris with four weeks of skin contact, the wine is restrained and complex, with deliberate oxidative notes and a long finish. Expect lemon, honeysuckle, apricot and quince alongside a subtle nuttiness. Produced in limited quantities.
